⭐President’s Message
My message may be short this week, but this newsletter is anything but! There is A LOT happening around SPES, and we’ve packed it all in here for you.
While it may take a few minutes to scroll through everything, I promise it’s worth it! Take a moment as a family, see what’s coming up, schedule those dates(with reminders), and get excited!

The school has 2 spirit weeks in October! We have all the spirit day themes uploaded on our Google Calendar. We also have you covered with our physical October calendar (perfect for hanging on the fridge!) coming home this week.

⭐Membership
Become a PTA member for the ‘26-’27 school year online here- anyone (parents, students, grandparents, your neighbors!) may join! Members are not required to volunteer or attend meetings (although we love when you do!).
Total Member Count: 190 (this number includes teachers, staff, community members, parents, and students)

First: 20
Second: 11
Third: 20
Fourth: 16
Fifth: 35
Did you know? Research shows children do better in school when families stay involved and connected through organizations like the PTA.
⭐Virtual PTA Meeting
We know family life is busy, so we’re making it easier to stay connected to what’s happening at SPES! Our next General PTA Meeting will be held virtually this Tuesday at 6:00 PM, so you can join us right from home.
You don’t have to be a PTA member to join the conversation. Whether you’re a longtime PTA member, a new family, or someone who has simply been curious about what our PTA does, we’d love to have you there.

⭐Spirit Wear- Deadline Monday
Our fall spirit wear (including hats and PJs!) is now available for pre-order through October 5 here! Pre-ordering is the only way to guarantee you get the style and size that you want.
⭐Fall Teacher Luncheon
We’re celebrating the wonderful SPES faculty and staff with a taco bar on October 9. Sign up here to contribute an item!
⭐Springer Family Support
One of our Springer families could use a little extra support right now. If you're able to lend a hand, please check out the sign-up here for the specific items needed. Donations can be dropped off at the main office.

There are many ways to volunteer at SPES! Here are some current volunteer needs:
⭐Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students)
Shift signups are now open! We appreciate any time you are able to give.
Please note, the SignUpGenius indicates a half or full day at SPES, but you can sign up for as little as an hour (just indicate that on your sign up). More details are included on the sign up here. If you have any questions, reach out to Leah Boyle at programs@springfieldparkpta.org or Mrs. Mic.
⭐Spirit Event: Red Robin Wednesdays
Tomorrow is our final Spirit Day at Red Robin in Short Pump! Let your server know you’re with SPES to have a portion of sales go to the PTA!
⭐Spirit Event: Panera Bread this Friday
Join us this Friday 4-8 PM at the Panera on Nuckols Road! Show them this flyer if ordering in person or use code “FUND4U” online or in the app.
⭐Family Friday Food Truck Oct 16. Place your order by 10/5
There will be a food truck for lunchtime Family Friday, October 16. The All American Eats food truck will be in the front car loop on 10/16 from 9:30-12:30 AM. Pre-order your food by 10 AM Monday, 10/12, so the chef can prepare. Please arrive a few minutes before your child’s lunchtime in order to pay (only credit cards accepted) and pick up your order. Once you have your food, please proceed to the office to sign in. Then, you may meet your child and head to the outside picnic tables. Remember, all campus visitors must have completed the HCPS Volunteer Application.

Ordering from the food truck is not required to visit your Springer for lunch.
⭐Reflections- Deadline Extended
Each year, the PTA Reflections program offers students a platform to express their unique perspectives and interpretation of a student-created theme. For the 2026-2027 school year, the theme is “What My Culture Means to Me”. Entry forms and submissions are now due via email by October 16. If you have questions, contact Emily Mason at reflections@springfieldparkpta.org
⭐Fall Festival Oct 29
It’s time to prepare for one of the most beloved events of the year! This year’s Fall Festival will be Thursday, October 29 from 5-7. We need some help from our community to make this happen!
🎃Trunk or Treat
Sign up to decorate a trunk here! This year the prize for best decorated trunk will be 2 wristbands to the Spring Carnival.
🍬Candy Donations
The candy monster has returned, and he’s HUNGRY! The candy monster will gladly accept your Springer’s offerings of candy at the front and bus entrances throughout this month. The candy will be used at trunk or treat. Thank you for helping us make this community event a success!
🧶Vendor Market
Our Springer Family market will be back! Registration forms will be sent home soon. This market is for homemade items and we especially welcome our Springers to sell their crafted items! Vendor table spots are free for PTA members and $10 for non-members (grab that membership here!).

Order your yearbook by October 31 to get 10% off!
